This cabin is only 30 miles from the Knoxville (McGhee-Tyson) airport. There is plenty to see and do in Knoxville as well! Local shops within just a couple miles of the cabin are antique shops, general stores, and a moonshine distillery with free tasting. Pick up fresh pork rinds, kettle corn, and hot boiled peanuts from some of these shops. Elvira's is a fabulous restaurant just down the hill for fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Her pancakes are the best in the world, seriously. Head to Townsend, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg for a plethora of shopping and dining options! Townsend has some great white-water rafting and river tubing outfitters.
There are many Trolley stops in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge that will take you anywhere you want to go (almost anywhere) for $2 a day! Check out the Gatlinburg Trolley's website for schedules and routes! Taxis and Uber rides are plentiful in the area, as well as Jeep rentals and UTV/side by side rentals.
There are some animals out there. Bears call the Smokies their home and you can see them around. Please do not feed them or get close.

About the Owner
Splitting time between Austin, Texas and Tennessee, we both went to a UT. CP is the Texan and Rachel is the Tennessean. Together we love warm weather and warm people. We're also passionate about experiencing life through food and travel -- set to a soundtrack of 90's hip hop with some bluegrass sprinkled in. CP's passion for moist Texas brisket and fried chicken runs deep, and Rachel dreams about solomillo foie in San Sebastian daily. And, true story, CP proposed to Rachel while at an awesome cabin in Virginia that someone hosted. Then we got married in East Tennessee. We're good people who like to think the best in others and hope to meet all y'all good people out there.Location
